There is someone very close to me-
That I love-

He is my grandfather-
He is my hero-

He has Alzheimer’s-
And soon-

He’ll probably forget me-
He is my favorite person in the world-

And I love him-
My brother is three-


He never got a chance-
To know the greatest person ever-

And I’m scared-
That he’s going to die-

And leave me-
I love him-

He can’t die-
Why would this happen to him-

He is the best person I know-
He’s taught me so much

And I need to learn so
much more-

But I won’t get the chance
And neither will my cousins-

I pray to God that he
Will live-

And remember me-
Its not just me I’m worried about

My younger cousins-
Will probably not remember-

The greatest man ever-
My grandpa-

Their grandpa-
The best-

He went through so much-
God helped him through

All of that why can’t
He help now-

He’s my Grandpa-
The best-

He was a dad to me
When I didn’t have one-

For eleven years-
He was always there

And know I’m fifteen-
And I’m losing him

Slowly-
And painfully-

He’s My Grandpa
I love him

And I always will
God help me-

And help him-
To stay strong-
